Mindspun Payments: Introducing the SliceWP integration and more

Available in the new Add-ons tab along with a new Repo Manager function.

This is a big release—perhaps too big. Going forward, we’ll release single features separately.

Let’s have a look at what we’ve bundled in this time around.

The first thing you’ll notice is a new Add-ons tab. We’re not introducing a set of paid Pro features but a way to enable and disable ones you want to use, like our new SliceWP integration. If a feature is turned off the code won’t load.

SliceWP integration

We’ll be using SliceWP for our own affiliate program. It’s a solid product with a great team supporting it, so the choice was easy. Stay tuned for the announcement of our Partner Program at some point soon.

The SliceWP integration will allow you to do the same with your own digital products and subscriptions. You’ll need to install SliceWP first, which includes everything you need to run a successful (and easily manageable) affiliate program. There are both free and paid versions of SliceWP available.

Once you get SliceWP up and running, turn on the related Mindspun Payments add-on to get going. Sales commissions are calculated automatically. All SliceWP features are supported, including affiliate payments for recurring subscriptions.

Repo Manager

This feature was requested by Topher DeRosia of HeroPress, who we thank for the help. Think of it as running your own version of WordPress’ plugin library.

In conjunction with Mindspun Payment’s Software Licensing feature, it allows you to easily sell your WordPress plugin or theme on your site, including:

• Drag and drop upload of your plugin or theme when you’re releasing a new version
• Generate a license key for product bundles when a customer purchases
• Automatic updates for your plugin or theme just like you’d get with WordPress.org.

New Owner Block

With the new Owner Block, you can show content based on what product a customer has bought.

Here are a couple of exampels:

• Personalize the Thank You page after a purchase
• Upsell and cross-sell other products based on a customer’s purchase history
• Create paywalls for content, offering different levels of subscriptions
• Personalize support content

Setting conditions for any Block is easy:

• Add the Owner Block to a page
• Select the product you want to show content for in the block controls
• Add any ‘child’ Blocks
